Our customers are never at a loss for words...during the project or thankfully...after the project as well. Here's what some of our customers have to say about working with us.
The Short Version: Stephens Homes is awesome!
The Long Version: We first engaged with Stephens Homes as we considered a complete remodel of our kitchen and adjoining family room. We were introduced to Mark by a neighbor who knew of Mark through the Portland Street of Dreams Builders Association.
Of all the contractors we interviewed, Mark was by far the most interested in delivering a final result that met our expectations. He listened carefully and coached changes that helped improve design and control costs. We had a very tight timeline starting right after Thanksgiving with completion before Christmas.
Mark was meticulous throughout the process and managed the project from start to finish. In many cases, workers would overlap, or be transitioning within the hour of one finishing and the other starting. Our remodel was a complete renovation- new HW floors, cabinets, granite countertops, lighting, Sheetrock/texturing/painting, and appliances.
Mark's attention to detail is unmatched. His ability to take a customer’s vision and deliver on time and on budget separates him from the rest. He always kept us up to speed on any and all project related developments. As promised, we were finishing up the final details the day before Christmas.
Later, when it came time to redoing our Master Bath, we looked no further than Stephens Homes. A complete gutting of the MBR was required to reroute plumbing, move fixtures and create a larger area for the shower. New vanities, marble countertops, tiled shower, heated porcelain floors and custom lighting transformed our tired 90s bath into a more contemporary timeless look.
These folks are kind, courteous, and a great extension of Stephens Homes. What started as a Client/Builder relationship, has turned into valued friendship with Mark and his wife Shelia. We stay in touch and enjoy getting together as often as schedules permit. I would encourage potential clients to give Stephens Homes strong consideration for your project big or small. Stephens Homes is authentic, reliable and trustworthy. -Tom and Lorraine Vonderach
"When I engaged Mark and Sheila Stephens of Stephens Homes, my expectations for my new home were simple: I expected perfection. Frankly, my expectations were exceeded.
When we began the process, I had very specific ideas for the design, the layout, the products, and the finishes. Mark, Sheila and their team listened to what I wanted. Throughout the entire build they ensured my desires were fulfilled and the finished product would be as envisioned. And, it is actually better than envisioned.
During construction, although I visited the building site rarely, Mark kept me apprised of every detail during weekly phone calls. There were no surprises, and no disagreements. The entire process was pleasant, cooperative and collegial. I now have a beautiful new home where I plan to live forever!" -Rebecca Camden
"Mark managed the construction of our home in Pronghorn Country Club; Bend, Oregon. We were not in Oregon when the home was built. During the entire process Mark demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. He consistently communicated through email and phone with pictures of the construction. On several occasions he suggested improvements that enhanced the finished product. His attention to detail was excellent. We love the end product. During the process we became friends due to his sincerity and warmth. We would turn to Mark for any futures construction projects.” -Jim C. Magers
“Mark was the project manager for a house we constructed in the community of Pronghorn, Bend, Oregon. It was a difficult project due to the complexities of the property, the infrastructure, and the design. There were a number of issues before Mark was engaged for the project and through the difficulties and expense restraints, he was able to manage the project to a great ending. The project started nearly five years ago and in my history it is unusual that owners and the project manager become friends. The friendship and the professional relationship are based on a foundation of trust and reliability. Mark has demonstrated a number of times his commitment to recognize and improvise around the needs and expectations of the owner.” -Thomas E. Sargent
